• “NOT MY JAM” Romances of 2024

These “not my jam” romances are love stories I read in 2024 that did not resonate with me. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they are bad romances. If anything, I would argue I’m just not their intended audience.

    1. Icebreaker by Hannah Grace (Maple Hills, 1) (Sports Romance)

Smoking hot but I couldn’t have cared less about their characters and their problems. Very much a “new adult” book with “new adult” problems.

    2. The Last Days of Lilah Goodluck by Kylie Scott (Romantic Comedy)

Cute book. Cute story. But nothing memorable aside from the occasional witty banter.

    3. How to Help a Hungry Werewolf by Charlotte Stein (The Santuary for Supernatural Creatures, 1) (Cozy Paranormal Romance)

This novel was just too cozy. It was cute, but despite its heavy attempts to be sexy, I friendzoned it real quick.

    4. Feral Sins by Suzanne Wright (The Phoenix Pack, 1) (Paranormal Romance)

The main character was too cringely “sassy”. It’s practically shoved down the reader’s eyes(?). That said, it was a hella sexy book.
